Everything Should Remain Possible
This work presents a collection of work-in-progress video clips from Everything Should Remain Possible, an ongoing research on exploring how our living spaces can be reimagined through interaction, awareness, and play.
The project takes essential aspects of life, Food, Apparel, Accommodation, Transportation, Education, and Entertainment, as symbolic anchors. A hanging fabric structure, connected by a pulley system, responds to movement in real time: shapes rise and fall, patterns shift, and the composition is continually rewritten.

As the performer engages with the work, they co-create a living spatial poem. Each interaction generates new arrangements, transforming the act of walking into an invitation to perceive, play, and participate. The project seeks to revitalize non-places, spaces often regarded as impersonal or transient, by turning them into sites of reflection and shared experience.

I have developed this project with performer Ting-Ning Wen, who brings improvisation and playfulness to the space. With graphic designer Narcis Serrats, video documentation of these sessions has been reimagined as a visual poem/publication, reshaping color and form. Charlotte Upton contributes sound, assigning each color an everyday sonic texture, such as eating biscuits, a bike chain, or scribbling on paper, layered together into a symphonic score.
Sketch
This project frist took shape during lockdown in Taichung, Taiwan back in 2020, and has continued to grow with the support of a Jerwood Artist Development Grant and 101 Outdoor Arts.
